Brulhois AOC-AOP

BLACK IS THE COLOR

It is the only name which does not refer to a place; Brulhois means “scorched earth”, probably by the sun. Called “black wine” in reference to its color, Brulhois brings together all the grape varieties with strong coloring specific to the region. Nevertheless, rosés wines represent a third of production.

Cabernet Franc N, Merlot N, and Tannat N (minimum 70% blend of these three, including 15% to 40% Tannat)

Complementary red grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon N, Cot N (Malbec) and Fer Servadou N; accessory variety, Abouriou N.
